DISCLAIMER for SDA (Sandwickhill Dance Academy) & NWA (North West Allstars)
Students, staff and parents must follow SDA / NWA Code of Conduct whilst attending classes, events or workshops at SDA, events or representing our studio at events elsewhere such as performances or competitions. By signing up for classes, attending classes, or being in our building, or at any event associated with us, you hereby agree to the below terms and conditions and that you will follow our Code of Conduct.
By signing up for our programme you, the parent / guardian grant permission for your child to take part in activities at SDA or as part of the NWA programme, and release our coaches and teachers from all liability, whether caused by negligence or otherwise, for injury or illness occurring at classes/activities/events/competitions/performances associated with our programme.
By signing up to classes at SDA or run by NWA you agree to that such participation in classes subjects child to possibility of injury or physical illness and in the event of such physical illness or injury, you authorise SDA/ NWA and their associated Coaches/Instructors to obtain necessary medical treatment for your child.
You are also expected to read, familiarise yourself with and follow our COVID guidelines at the bottom.
SECTION 1 - FEES
- We operate a monthly subscription / members fee which is paid throughout the year. Our classes run in accordance with school term time. Your payment plan covers all fees for the year. These fees are split into 10 affordable payments, therefore fees are still due during term holidays. These fees are taken out on the 1st of every month.
- If you start classes after the 1st of the month you will be due a one off (pro rata) payment to bring you up to date for the remainder of the first month, payable on the 1st of the next month.
- We do not accept cash payments or or other online payments. Having all our participants signed up online ensures our registers are automatically kept up to date.
- By signing up you are committed as a member or our programme and we expect regular attendance.
- You can cancel this membership at any time however refunds are not available except in exceptional circumstances. Cancellations must be before the 1st of the month, or membership will continue. You can cancel by emailing sandwickhillstudios@gmail.com at any time. Cancellation is not done through our booking system - you must contact the studio to cancel.
- Late payments will be subject to a 10% late payment charge.
- Receipts will be issued through our booking system (please check your junk email).
SECTION 2 - REFUND POLICY
- Refunds will be offered in exceptional circumstances only. In the event of an illness or condition that prevents a participant from attending classes for 4 consecutive weeks, a 90% refund will be given only on receipt of a GP's note. Without a note from Doctor no refund will be given.
- Refunds are not given for holidays or other commitments.
- Should I child leave before the end of the month their fees for that month will be kept in full.
- In the event that our offerings must be adapted due to Force Majeure, we will aim to provide alternative offerings - in these circumstances refunds will not be issued. We will, where possible, offer the online class option to enable dancers to continue with their training un-interrupted.
SECTION 3 - REGISTRATION AND ATTENDANCE
- An online register is kept for every class - this is based on the information and details you provide during enrolment.These details may also be used for purposes of Track & Trace throughout Covid-19 so please ensure you let us know if there are any changes to your contact details.
- Students are expected to attend the full term and should only miss classes if they are unable to attend due to illness
- Parents must inform us that their child is not able to make class by email before the start time of the class.
- iF a student fails to attend class on 2 or more consecutive occasions without notice/reason, they may be removed from the class list
- If classes are cancelled due to the sickness of a teacher, a health epidemic or any other seen or unforeseen event, we will reschedule/rearrange the offering or provide an alternative. This may be on a different day/time or both from when the offering was originally scheduled and might involve an extension to the term-time dates. We will consider offering online alternatives where physical offerings are not possible. No refunds will be given if an offering is rescheduled/rearranged or an alternative is provided
- Please ensure you pick up and drop off at the correct time - children are not allowed, at present, to wait inside the building. Outwith our class times parents are responsible for participants. We accept no responsibility for before or after classes.
SECTION 4 - PRIVACY
- We will hold your contact details on file as long as your child takes part in classes and our teachers and coaches will have access to this information. We will not share your data but will keep and store this for contacting you regarding classes and in case of emergency
- As a parent/attendee, you have the right to request that your information is: corrected, changed or completely removed - you can contact us directly at sandwickhillstudios@gmail.com to do this and to request information on the data we hold about you.
SECTION 5 - PHOTOGRAPHY
- We regularly take video and photos of our classes for training purposes and marketing. If you do not give consent for your child to be photographed please contact us to update. Your consent may influence some of the activities your child is able to take part in - you can update your preference by emailing sandwickhillstudios@gmail.com
- Parental filming/photography is permitted - only for your own child. Any material or footage taken must not include any other children. In such cases where other children are in photography or footage, this must be erased by the person responsible and especially not shared on any platform unless permitted by the child's parent/guardian(s)
COVID GUIDELINES 2021 - currently being updated August 2021 - awaiting further government guidelines.
Please do not send your child has COVID, COVID symptoms or has been exposed to COVID, or asked to self isolate.
