This class is suitable for children p4+

Youth Musical Theatre teaches children jazz dance technique (including turns, kicks and leaps) and choreography based in jazz and musical theatre We use pop music and tunes from musicals such as Greatest Showman, Hairspray and Six.

Each class will include a fun warm up and games, stretching, skills progression - jumps, kicks, turns, leaps as well as a fun routine / choreography to learn. For those who are interested in performing we will preparing dance pieces for a show later in the year. We'll use fun music and teach the kids in a way that builds confidence, skills and a love of dance.

This class will be taught by musical theatre performer Catriona Hill.

UNIFORM: Tan coloured jazz shoes. If they don't have these initially any jazz shoes / dance pumps would do or soft soled indoor shoes as a short term measure. No outdoor shoes, socks or barefeet.

No jewellery, hair tied back.

Fitted comfortable clothes e.g. leggings and leotard / long sleeved top.
